Terms and Conditions
Booking terms and conditions for Read Retreat Repeat.
Thank you for your interest in Read Retreat Repeat. Please read the following terms and conditions before proceeding. You will be asked to confirm you have read and understood these T&C’s when you place your booking.
Participant Eligibility:
This retreat is exclusively designed as a women-only event. By purchasing a ticket or registering for the event, you confirm that you meet this eligibility requirement.
We ask that all participants respect the purpose and spirit of this retreat as a safe, supportive, and inclusive space specifically for women.
If you have any questions about eligibility, please feel free to contact us at readretreatrepeat@gmail.com.
Deposit:
A deposit will be taken for the Yorkshire Read Retreat Repeat Weekend and secures your place for the entire weekend stay. The deposit amount will be deducted from the total cost of your retreat. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable if cancellation occurs within one month prior to the event date. For cancellations made more than one month before the event, refunds will be processed accordingly.
Please note that the deposit is charged per person, not per room. The individual sharing your room must also pay their deposit and settle the full balance at least one month in advance. If this is not completed, you will be charged the single-occupancy room rate.
Upon purchase, you will receive confirmation details and further information about the retreat schedule, accommodation arrangements, and what to bring. Should you have any questions or require assistance, please contact us directly through the event organiser details provided in your confirmation email. We look forward to welcoming you to a relaxing weekend of reading and retreat.
Cancellation by you:
Should you need to cancel your booking the following policy will be applied:
More than 1 months notice before the booked retreat you will receive a 100% refund (less an administration fee of £15).
If you cancel within 1 month of the booked retreat we are unable to offer a refund.
We will endeavour to resell your booking and, if successful, any payments received for such booking sold will be taken into account, based on the applied percentage, when calculating your cancellation fee. If appropriate, we will attempt to move your booking to a mutually convenient alternative retreat.
Cancellation or change by us:
We will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that the Retreat takes place on the planned date and at the location advertised. However, where this becomes impractical due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, or where bookings are insufficient to justify it, we may cancel or rearrange the Retreat at our discretion.
In such cases:
-
Where a Retreat is cancelled, our only liability to you will be to refund the total of the Fees which we have received from you in respect of the Retreat, less any previously processed refunds.
-
Where a Retreat is rearranged to take place on the original date but at another location within a 15 mile radius of the originally advertised location, we consider the terms of the original Retreat to have remained the same.
-
Where a Retreat is rearranged to take place on the original date but at another location outside of a 15 mile radius of the originally advertised location, we ask that you reconfirm your booking within 24 hours of us advising you of the change of location. Otherwise, we will have no liability for the change of location. Should you choose not to reconfirm, the refund policy above will apply.
-
Where a Retreat is rearranged to take place on another date, you will be entitled to choose to either transfer your booking to the new Retreat (in which case, these terms and conditions shall apply to that new event and all definitions used will be interpreted accordingly,) or to receive a full refund of the total of the fees which we have received from you in respect of the Retreat, less any previously processed refunds. If appropriate, we will attempt to move your booking to a mutually convenient alternative Retreat.
Activities:
Should we find that we are unable to hold the advertised activities due to circumstances beyond our control, we will endeavour to arrange other activities and will keep you updated of any changes. The advertised activities are not a guaranteed element of the retreat.
